Musical Stairs



How cool is this project?! I love how it is fun, creative and inspiring.

Here is the description of the Fun Project:

"There is a set of stairs, with a moving escalator next to it .... both of which lead to the same spot on the floor of the upper level. At first no one took the stairs, almost 97% of the people took the escalator. Okay. I think that could be a normal expected result. 

Then a group of engineers got together, and decided they wanted to change the percentage around.

Notice what these scientists did. Clever huh. And now they have reversed the percentages, as a whopping 66% more people take the stairs, than ride the escalator."

    AAH! This is so so so incredible! I wish I could take these stairs all the time. I usually choose the stairs but I wish more people followed suit. If only every set of stairs were musical!

    That is cool how they made the stairs musical! I know a couple kids who would freak out on it though... and I know a few kids who would stay and play on the stairs for hours... Kids shouldn't play on stairs... LOL

    I'd love to sit there all day and watch people just to see their reactions. Great project. I wonder if they just put a sign that said "taking the stairs will make you live longer" if even one person would make the switch?

    I saw this a couple weeks back and almost teared up out of happiness. We should all remember to play everyday and I think this video illustrates quite nicely that we are certainly capable of it! :)

    I love this project! I've seen it before and it's just amazing. I wish they could do this all over the world. I think it would make people much happier and nicer in general.
