The photos were shot over a long weekend and the set was designed with the help of volunteers. The models, made to look like dolls do a fantastic job of creating expressionless faces while showing so much emotion. The set is presently in storage and will be set up at the gallery opening of the show.
I just love Dina Goldstein work!
Did you play with Barbies as a kid?
In the story lines you made up was Barbie's life idyllic?

I remember your posts on the first series, so loved it and this one is another home run.
Just amazing work. The attention to detail is great, the initials on the wall and towels in the bathroom etc.
The lighting and make-up - wow. They absolutely look like dolls.
Thank you for sharing this, very much enjoyed it.

I always enjoy her photography!
my story lines were def idyllic..with a lot of making out oddly! but these are really awesome pictures and i'm super impressed about how doll like they look!
Simply inspired!

Love this. what great work - thanks for sharing. Funny enough, I tried playing wityh barbies but could never get into it. I grew up with a twin brother so I always ended up kicking a soccer ball around or digging something up in the back yard. :)
Dearest sweet Ren,
WOW, her work is just gorgeous and i love her project with the dollhouse. I guess i am very into stuffs related to dollhouse since i am trying to put together a Kitchen for my dolls. Have a lovely merry happy week and love to you!
I was obsessed with my barbie collection, cars, clothes and all for many years. These photos are simply great. They are the real life size barbie:)
So freaking good!!
I always knew Ken was gay.
I can't decide if that is cool or creepy! Maybe both. I definitely played with Barbies as a kid. I had the Dream House!
