Wabi Sabi: Stacey

Wabi- Sabi is the ancient art of finding beauty in all accepts of life including imperfections.  It is based on the elements: that nothing lasts, nothing is finished and nothing is perfect It is about finding perfection in imperfection.

I first wrote about Wabi- Sabi here
These photographs are a glimpse into a  fellow bloggers home:
Toys in the living room
Art work waiting to be hung
Multi-functional furniture
High chair tray
'Stuff' on the dinning room table

Stacey is the lovely lady behind Design Addict Mom.
She is a wife and mother who recently returned to work.
I can't believe she just recently moved into her lovely new home.
Be sure to stop by and read about her big news.

Wow, apparently even some people's mess still looks clean. How do they do it?!

Such happy news to share and what a lovely home. I love this concept of Wabi-Sabi. It's a permission of sorts to just be. Thanks for your series Ren. Really enjoying it.

Stacey's home looks great! I have art waiting to be hung in practically every bedroom of our apartment. Now that we're moving, it's obviously never goign to get hung so I have moved some stuff into our spare room which has become just one giant closet.

I love this so much. Especially the toys one. A sign of playing and fun. What's not awesome about that?

That seems like a very busy home.

Love that shot of art waiting to be hung-perfect.

Love it. I think homes are meant to be lived in, not museums! What a great concept that beauty can still be where things are unfinished!

I like all this Wabi Sabi idea. Thanks again for bringing it here. I like the thinking behind, all that about the beauty of imperfect things. But I particularly have felt close to this one. The toys over the sitting room low table as part of a nearly permanent decoration, the pictures that never got to get hanged somehow, the box of paper towels over the dining table, well, they need to be handy sometimes. It could be our place right now. The feeling that all that is right, and part of beauty too. Feeling part of all that.

Maybe You'll Enjoy These Too...
