Saturday Morning Challah
The best thing about Saturday mornings- besides sleeping in and extended cuddles- is Challah French Toast.
Ever Friday morning I go to the Jewish bakery and get a loaf of the biggest, softest and yummiest Challah ever. For Friday Night dinner I bake a chicken, make some matzo ball soup and serve the bread. My balls and my bread are the biggest hits.
Every Saturday morning I make chicken stock for next week while eating the best Challah French Toast.
I know that it is not complicated to make French Toast and most recipes are probably similar- so my two special ingredients are the best challah ever and love.
If you are a Chelsea Handler fan and saw her show with Rabbi Shmuley join me in saying “Challah Bitches” while stuffing the yumminess in.
To Make:
Challah sliced and dipped into a mixture of 3 eggs, splash of milk, pinch of: cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
I enjoy drowning mine with vanilla yogurt, maple syrup and strawberries.
Enjoy every Saturday or as a Mother’s Day Treat.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog---I'm about to become your newest follower. I can't believe I stop by and the first things I read about are challah & CHelsea Handler. Done and Done. You had me at challah French toast. It's my fave too....I make my own most of the time, but when I'm lazy we have a great bakery nearby that makes fabulous challah.
Looks delicious!! Especially with the yogurt on top...I'll have to try it!
looks like we both had delicious breakfasts.

Challah is SO good and even better as french toast. Thanks for the recipe!
omg. I LOVE challah. And you're right, it is the BEST for french toast! We have a bakery here that makes it fresh every Friday. I hardly ever buy it b/c I eat the whole loaf myself in 24 hours. yes, an entire loaf. it's so yummy!
