Spring Salad

Our garden is growing beautifully. We have a plethora of herbs which I am constantly adding to any and every meal. We also have an abundance of strawberries from the farmers market and grocery store.
How can I resist buying them when they taste SO good?
(So far our garden has only produced two strawberries and they were eaten immediately)
Here is a salad that I have made pretty much every night for weeks-

Strawberries, mint, basil and either romaine lettuce or arugula-
We enjoy it with a dash of rice vinegar and salt and pepper-
Pepper on strawberries is delightful.
Isn’t this bowl so pretty? My grandmother sent it to me from Toronto- It is actually from Poland and hand painted.
This Polish Stoneware is painted by Polish artisans using a centuries-old sponging technique, glazed and fired twice at 1250 c- Best of all it is made from all natural materials and is scratch and chip resistant- AND oven, microwave and dishwasher safe.

What a beautiful salad bowl. We're coming into winter in the southern hemisphere so I look on at those fresh salds longingly..

Strawberry salad with slivered almonds and goat cheese is one of my fav's but I've never tried it with mint or basil, must do - thanks.

The salad looks so good. I have some polish stoneware too. I love how each piece is different but yet the same and it all works together. Bon Appetit.

How lucky you are to have a herb garden ready for picking. Where I
live we are still in the planning stages-another week or so to start planting.
Your salade looks delicious and I happen to have similar ingredients in my refrigerator so I'm off to make lunch. Thankyou for planting the idea!

I recognized the polish design of your bowl. It is very famous and comes from the city called Bolesławiec. They have hundreds of designs in this beautiful blue shade ...
