Fish is a very healthy and easy dinner to make.
These dishes involve little prep and cook quickly.
I like to think of them as great weekday and dinner party meals.
The first one is an Ahi Tuna which I usually pick up in frozen from Trader Joe's.
After defrosting, rinse and pat dry then just add a sesame crust and sear it.
(on 'high' for a minute on each side).
We love it with a wasabi mayo.
Black sesames (not pictured here) make for a nicer presentation
Another easy fish dish is Alaskan Cod with a miso glaze.
Again the fish is rinsed, patted dry and then the glaze is spread on and it is baked
(depending on the thickness of the fish, for around five minutes at 400).
My rule of thumb with fish is that it is better for it to be under-done than over done.
I get my miso at Whole Food in the refrigerator section.
I usally 'make up' my wasabi mayo and miso glaze recipe- but just google it.

Ahi Tuna served with cous cous and a zucchini/ tomato stir-fry made using sesame oil and salt.
And again cous cous and green beans with sesame seeds, oil and salt.

Yummmmm! I adore fish and Trader Joe's is so handy. I used to like getting farmer's market salmon, rub it with grated ginger and maybe some minced garlic, sprinkle with sea salt and any herbs on hand, "marinate" (5-10min) in olive oil and just broil on each side (until just under-done too! The most delish taste :))
Oh dear, have never liked fish. Can't eat it and don't care for the smell. Sometimes I wish I did because being a vegetarian would be so much easier if I did like fish but I haven't had any since I was about 6. I did used to make a dish for my parents that involved a macadamian crust they loved.
Both of these dishes sound wonderful. My favorite fish is salmon and my favorite recipe uses a horseradish glaze for it. I hope you are having a wonderful day. Blessings...Mary
Yum. I'll be checking out the Ahi Tuna at Trader Joe's this weekend!
You know I hate fish and have deprived my family of it for ever. Now my kids are independent, they cook it themselves. I have promised them that I will start to try it again. These look good....
Mmmm, looks delish! My childhood favourite is pickeral fried in butter and flour (healthy!!). It's pretty expensive down in Winnipeg so I do a Creole Bouilliabase (spelling?), it's a tomato based soup with any kind of white fish cubed and green peppers and oregano. Soak it up with lots of crusty bread and butter!

I get the tuna from Trader Joe's too, but I cook the hell out of it!

Lovely dishes, I'd be happy with all of them.

I LOVED seared ahi.... one of the worst things about being pregnant is all the fish you cant eat!
You are welcome to come and cook this dish for my husband any time you want. It looks like something he'd love. I can barely cook, and don't like fish.
Dankeschön! Ich liebe es neue Leser zu bekommen!:) Es freut mich wirklich sehr das dir mein Blog gefällt. xx, Alice von bells and whistles :)
Love seared crusted tuna! Jamie oliver has a fantastic herbed version:)
heey I'm impressed!
my favourite fish recipe is fresh trout with butter+garlic+thyme (inside and out)-all baked in the oven till it's ready (about half an hour) very quick and delicious:)

Yum! That Ahi looks delish, something I haven't had in ages! We usually bake our fish here, just because it's easiest I guess. But I LOVE plain jane grilled fish, nothing like that flavor.
Yum! I love salmon but my husband does not like fish at all. Oh well..
Delish! We just had pan-seared trout (made by Mr. Deer) last night! XX!
Okay, you can come over and cook anytime.
I'm glad you liked my blue pinecones - they are my favorite too. I am hoping that people don't see my pinecones as "Christmasy." I like to imagine they are beautiful for all-year-round - small soft sculpture for display around and about the house.
That Ahi looks great! Also, great fish tips too. Seriously, i'll devour any fish dish, however, being a native island girl, i can't get enough of snappers. I love them with okras too.
i have a sever aversion to all seafood...so i'll just say HI REN!
hope your week has been lovely so far.
:)

I love fish tacos with lots of lime.
So very yum.
As long as it is firm, fresh, and almost still swimming I am happy. Just add soy sauce, honey, lime and seseame seeds! Yum.
I love grilled salmon with lemon. Yum!

hope you have been well my friend! i am finally back to having spare time and it's so exciting - going to look at the rest of what i missed on your blog now :)
It seems delicious. I also like salmon in curlpaper, steamed, with salt and pepper only... and rice. Simple.
