Corning 1975

Corning ware was first produced in 1958made of a glass-ceramic material it can be used on the stove, in the oven, microwave and dishwasher.
The other day while thrifting I found this corning dish circa 1975-
This pattern is called Country Festival and was produced between 1975 and 1977-

I happen to love it.  Although it is called country fair it reminds me of a Polish folk design.

This is so terrific - it reminds me of a different but similar pattern on my mom's old corningware - sigh, memories of childhood...

That's actually a double distlefink design based on Pennsylvania Dutch hex signs, if I'm not mistaken.

My mom had a Corning stove. It had a flat glass top. You could tell when the burners were on because a round red circle appeared on it. (This was in the 70s) We had Corningware with a blue design to use on it.

it is very polish folk art. I grew up eating off of the green flowered corningware plates. I have a nostalgia and fondness for that brand.
