OMG YES!!!!!!!!! - me and my brother had competitions - it was serious stuff - i NOW pass the challenge down to my Niece - she still doesn't get it that SHE IS suppose to make it, not ME all the time .. haha
As a kid?? J and I still love to build forts when we're at the lake. We pull two couches together and build around them with sheets and blankets then hang out inside!
What a beautiful surprise to come to! {thank you} I love that vintage sheet and all of your monkey, fort making fun!! Hope you are having a beautiful week! xo Samantha
awesome!:D I remember that me and my sis used to open a cupboard and emptied it and then we put our rocking chair so that the back was the ceiling;) of course we used some blankets too:) great times:D hugs Ren! J.
i loved building forts as a kid and love helping ezra now. we often use umbrellas to hold up sheets but i'm intrigued by your monkey's canopy on his bed. how did you do that?
those forts are awesome. my monkeys hate when the cardboard boxes have to go bye bye, too. we have discovered that the clips that some people use to hold their towels to their lounge chairs (?) are great clips for sheet as forts.
Ahhh I loved doing that when I was a kid too!! Me and my brother would sometimes build whole mansions lol Or maybe rather castles with tunnels and whatnot - we used sofa pillows, stools and blankets and our "housing projects" would sometimes extended to more than one room... Good times :)
P.S. I wouldn't dare use those handbags from my last post as shopping bags! :)
Totally remember building forts with my brother. We usually would try and make them outside out of branches and such. I never remember cleaning them up though...bless my beautiful mother...
In answer to how we made that 'tent' that bed is actually the bottom bed of a set of bunk beds so it has little holes in the posts for pegs- I added the tent sticks from an Ikea kids tents we've had forever and voila!
Your post brought back memories. Blankets over the kitchen table while my mother sewed. My sister and I played in that house/fort with our dolls. We used fabric scraps to make clothes for our dolls.
Some of my fondest childhood memories are of the tent forts my sister and I would make by throwing sheets over our tall dining room chairs as kids...it was the greatest :)
I happen to drop by and find your blog so much fun..adorable kids, thanks for sharing daily happiness, love the atmosphere here and your casual words.. hope you welcome my regular visit..

That is one nifty vintage sheet! I miss forts. Can't wait for Silas to get old enough so I have an excuse to build them again. :)
