My Uniform

yoo-nuh-fawrm- an identifying outfit or style of dress worn by the members of a given profession, organization, or rank.
In high school I went to an all girls school.  Our uniform consisted of green knee length socks (pulled up), a green tartan kilt, cream button up blouse, a tie and blazer. I loved wearing a uniform. It made life easy, it helped me feel scholarly and the blazer had an inside pocket for contraband.
This is from my alma mater's website

My monkeys wear a uniform. They take great pride, especially on Fridays (our Shabbat day) when they wear their uniforms.
Dr. J wears a uniform- consistent, neat, professional.
I also wear a uniform- not sure what my organization represents but my winter uniform consist of these things:
A tee shirt with a long sweater- the first one is from Anthropologie and the second one is from Urban Outfitters-

I really see no reason to wear any pants expect for Lululemon- they are simply the best- it is all I wear.

I wear two types of shoes, short and tall Uggs-depends on if I am feeling too lazy to bend down- I'm kinda in love with my tall grey ones though- they keep my toes warm and I HATE having cold toes.

It is not Toronto cold in the desert but certainly it gets cold at night and I wear a coat- this is the one I'm going to wear this season- again- I love it.

J.Crew
And finally I always wear a scarf- a big pashmina that can be used to cover my ears if it gets too windy or cover my back when the only seating in Starbucks is by the door-

This is my uniform- call it what you will- I prefer not to label-
Do you wear a uniform?

ps- that had zero to do with your post. Oops!! Unless you count pj's and UGG's a uniform, I guess I don't wear one. Although sometimes it sure feels like it!

Oh yes I most definitely have a uniform. Lately it's been tights, a long black tank and a short black stretch skirt with boots. So comfy :)

I (secretly) wish I had a uniform to take all the questioning out of my morning routine - it would save me some time, too!

I often think how easy a uniform would be...but it still has to look good right? I'm still searching....

I love your uniform. M. may have to wear one sort of a few days at one of the schools we are considering for next year. love your girls' school uniform, I was always so jealous of the girls who went to private schools with uniforms. I secretly wanted to be uniformed. My uniform now is too sad to mention.

You are awesome! I don't wear a uniform at the moment. In fact, almost all of my maternity clothes are borrowed, so for the past few months I feel like I have been in costume, wearing things I likely wouldn't have picked out. But hey, free is good!

I love comfy clothes especially when I'm home, I lip into old clothes that feel so right:). No fussy frills for me even if it's a night out.

I've started wearing my tall Uggs too! So warm, they are seriously the best (I don't care that they are ugly). I used to wear a uniform to school, too, and I liked that all the boys had to wear a shirt, tie and blazer every single day :-)

We always had to wear a trad school uniform. I hated it in my junior years, but secretly liked it when i was a senior. Later on when I was in nursing I had to wear a uniform or scrubs, which i quite liked too. Now - well it's jeans, long cardigans and woollen pullovers. Either crocs or walking boots Oilskins and wellies if it's really wet and windy.xx

Here, and only here on your blog, I can say I like (your) uniforms... I never worn a uniform and try to not have one in mind... because, sometimes, we are obliged to wear kind of uniforms (suit and tie is a kind of ???).

I went to a public school so no uniforms for me. yeah I hate cold toes too, the worst is when you step in snow and your socks inside your shoes get wet, ahhhh!

I love YOUR uniform...I have a dream uniform...presently it changes day to day depending on my mood - sometimes sometimes a vintage-housewife skirt/dress and sometimes just tight-stretchy jeans, a t, and a felted sweater (on the COLD days) or a sporty fitted zip up thing....but my dream uniform is linen everyday...linen pants, linen shirts, tunics, or such...and silk and marino/cashmere wool somethings.

I like your uniform, especially like what you say about the pants, I would love a pair of those...don't know that I've seen them in Japan, but must have them around!!
Lately I've been wanting high boots...

We see a lot of the school girl uniforms here, maybe because I never wore school uniforms I find it a soothing part of the 'landscape' visually to see groups of jr. and sr. high school students in their uniforms. But I would probaly not have been happy if I HAD to wear one.

Happy cozy days to you!

I love your uniform, stylish and very comfy and warm! I have my weekend, work and evening uniforms... my most treasured on the weekend ones I think because they usually have some fun involved.

This post should be dedicated to me! lol! All my friends make fun of me because I've had the same uniform for years..... Juicy sweat pants with a t-shirt or cashmere sweater, a scarf around my neck and Toms in the summer and Uggs in the winter. And my pants and tops are always the same tone: i keep it monochromatic. VERY boring but VERRRRRRY comfortable and I own it. :)

Yup. I definitely go through phases of subtle variations on the same theme for years at a time. Right now it's comfy knit black pants, solid colored layered shirts and a huge black and white cardigan that I can actually button over my belly! :)
