I love that in Guatemalan culture, vibrant colors extend to celebrate the deceased.
Ever town and city we visited had well maintained colorful cemeteries full of mausoleums.
Often the apartment like blocks or small houses are owned by families and built upwards.

It was nice to see so many colorful and well maintained cemeteries. It was such a contrast to the cemetery we visited in Prague last April:

If all cemeteries were that colorful, I might not find it so spooky. I don't think I can live next to a cemetery...it would spook me out too much despite probably being a nice, peaceful area.
I would definitely live next door to a cemetary. We used to run around and play in the one down the street from us as kids. Was the perfect hide and seek spot.
Would be nice if there were pretty colorful ones around here...
