Earth Day

We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.
~Native American Proverb

Everyday should be earth day.  Everyday we should do our part to reduce our carbon foot print, use something more than once and MOST importantly teach our children the importance of all the little things we can do to live consciously, mindfully and meaningfully.

Definitely!
That quote is so wise - people don't think this way enough - if they did, I believe people would behave differently in the world.

Oh, trash island. *gag* So awful. But in other ways amazing how mother nature gathered all our garbage together to keep us safe.

Fantastic post. We really do have to start getting creative about our 'rubbish' -(scary thought - is that why it's getting harder to throw stuff out??????? - I seem to see new stuff in everything!)

Happy Belated Earth Day!

I wish we could have celebrated it better, but it was pouring rain, so we went to the library.

Beautiful post with the plastic puppy, the furniture out of books and the rest. We, human beings, are capable of the best and the worst, nearly simultaneously. Weird!
