A Week In Reflection-

When you live in the desert and the temperatures sore over a hundred (or 45*c) you can either hole up in air-conditioned indoor spaces or embrace it and get wet-  We spend every day in water (seems unnatural in a desert but none the less effective).
I took the monkeys to two different playgrounds that have water features- which here means soft squishy recycled plastic flooring- with fountain like water spouts.

Paseo Park
Mountain Ridge Park

We also went to our club where the water slides and 'other kids' factors are a huge draw.

Most morning we hang out by our pool and I get some quiet time to read- this is what I'm reading now

To make our pool more 'brother friendly' I try and stock it up with shoot 'em toys-
This weeks find (at Home Goods) was a set of inflatable rafts with water shooter features

And when we are all pruned up and do need to be indoors- we like to head to our library

Or do some indoor climbing

How was your week?
Have a lovely weekend!

We have a feature at our park just like the second one. We were there yesterday. I love seeing your watery week! Beautiful and in the 70s here this week. I hope your weekend is happy!

Fun! I feel ya, we have scorching temperatures right now...although we aren't dry like you guys are...sooo humid. Water in the air is my greatest enemy...water in a pool is my greatest friend.

All very good ways to beat the heat! In my pre-AC days I practically lived at the library...because I loved it there, but also to get out of the heat! :)

Ren, Muriel Barberz is great! I read the "Elegancy of the Hedgehog" in one breath, it is a great book indeed. Today and tomorrow, there is big open air festival on Prague Islands, near the famous Cafe Savoy, spent there all evening and head back for more tmrw, with brunch planned in Savoy. Will think of you when downing some of their lattes and cakes :-)

staying cool can be lots of fun huh? A sharp contrast to our part of the world where we're trying to keep warm at the moment!
Keep up the fun :)

Those water parks look like so much fun. can't really relate though - we are having icy frosty mornings. Thankgod, our skies are clear and bright. can handle all sorts of things when the sun is shining :)

Gee it's hot where you are at the moment. I can definitely understand why you're hanging out at the water parks, looks like lots of fun too.

It's been a good week, cold mornings, sunny days and my girls are on holidays for 2 weeks, yeah! xo

I love these old school photos (from hipstamatic, I am guessing). Makes me feel like I am looking at vacation photos from my parents. Ha!
The Elegance of the Hedgehog has been on my to-read list for awhile. Looking forward to hearing what you think of it!

SO much fun with indoor climbing. Well, at least YOU are making the best out of the heat... also your boys are sooo handsome!!

It's good to see that you don't let the heat slow you down at all. I'm glad that I don't have to deal with it very much. When our kids were small, our days were very busy (we had 5 of them). I'm still resting from all that (many years later!).

I just love wall climbing. You have such a great way of experiencing the heat. Your summer days look so fun and inviting. Enjoy everyone.

Maybe You'll Enjoy These Too...
