I love how SF is such a politically motivated city-
We spent about an hour at the Occupy San Francisco camp because I wanted to give the boys a unique perspective. I love how children don't have boundaries. They watched a meditation group, played with animals, ran around tents, spoke to people, watched food being distributed and then, as I had hopped, asked their dad and I a lot of questions.
The next three photos are from Alcatraz Island which I wrote about HERE

A very nice pictography! And I love how you're raising your boys. Great job!
well it is san fran all the way for me too! i have had the pleasure of living on the other side of the bridge in mill valley and have had my mom in the marina area for a few years and michael's brother has been in the city for years. my dad is not far on the peninsula and i am so happy that i get to visit each year. seriously looking forward to being a drive away again when we return to california next month. omg! great experience for your boys to be homeschool traveling boys! they seem so happy in the photos and like they're really bonding over the experience. they look almost the same age - like they could be twins!
wow. i love the colour in the first photo!
Fun pictures! I love SF too, and I can't wait to visit again.
xo
Well of course I live near SF, so I like it, but I face always been drawn to NYC, it has an energy, like no other!
love the photos! did you use your phone?
i liked SF a lot, but was surprised at the chill in august. my favourite US city so far is NYC, even with all the craziness...or maybe because of the craziness. world city would have to be rome or sorrento.
so neat that you took your boys to the occupy...what a neat experience for them!
and p.s. it's funny that i mentioned Couch surfing and then you mentioned it and then the next night I went to this meetup thing and it was half meetup and half couch surfers so i met a bunch of them! no hippies, haha ;)
love the pictures! capturing the big and very known but also the small and uknown. lovely : )
I miss San Francisco... but I think my heart is in New York:)
Thank you for your lovely comment! Have a wonderful Monday!
Beautiful shots! Can we talk more about that cat on a leash? I used to try that with my cat but would end up dragging him across the asphalt...
Looks like such a great experience! I love SF too. Defintiely one of my favorite US cities to visit. In fact I almost moved there years ago :)
i love san francisco! i lived there for a few years and have been back to visit countless times since moving home to oregon. i'll be there this weekend, in fact. looking forward to the fall weather!
I'm with you! I love San Francisco. It is an amazing city. The only warm weather I've ever experienced there was during the fall. Best time to go...
Have a good week!
Other than Chicago where I spent a few years at, I really liked Savannah, GA- such a unique, charming city! SF is definitely in the top 5.
everyone keeps blogging about san francisco. i NEED to go.
i love how you teach your boys and expand their horizons. it sounds like they're learning a lot about how the world they live in works and why people do the things they do. the world is going to end up with some fantastic and powerful minds because of you. :)
i love your SF photos! and i am glad you had a fun time there. it is NO FUN to drive in SF, but whaddya gonna do. other than that it is a fab city to visit!
