Alicja Kwade

Champagne was my vice of choice last night- If you have ever wondered what 1,000 champagne bottles- pulverized, looks like you need look no further for this concept has already been concieved of by Berlin based artist Alicja Kwade.

She also did it using vodka bottles:

Born in Poland Ms. Kwade has established herself as a conceptual sculpture artist.
In 2008 she won the Piepenbrock Prize for Sculpture.

Amazing! Whenever I see things like this I'm confronted with the fact that I have very little "out of the box" imagination! I am however, working on amassing a lot of empty bottles...
Here's to a happy 2011 for us all!
