It seems that for a large part of the last three weeks all we did was plan and execute meals-
Here are some photos of some random meals-
mini bagels with smoked salmon, capers and onions
Kale and keilbasa (Polish sausage) - so good.
I found three of these plates at a thrift shop- last week.
Still into Moose Drool- taste great with cauliflower cheddar soup
I posted on how to make cabbage rolls a couple of weeks ago:

I will post recipes of some of our more blog worthy creations soon.

My goodness, I know the feeling-I cooked and ate 6 Christmas dinners! I can't wait for a detox week of simple meals and lots of veggies!
Ooh, as I scrolled down, I was thinking: that one - no, that one.... oh, I'll just have them all! Very delicious post. xx
Oh Yum! Since I started blogging, I've gained weight. It's not because of the lack of exercise, it's because food posts like this make me hungry! I'm going to eat now...
I swear I've been right there with you! Seems all I did in December was cook, eat, go to restaurants, etc. Man oh man. I gotta get on track this month lest I not be able to fit into any of my clothes anymore!
That soup looks especially yummy.
YUM!
I bought Kale and Kielbasa yesterday to make this, which I have made alot and people just love it (off my old site):

I feel the same way, food was always around. These dishes look yummy
Can I say yummeh too! Happy New Year!
Oh yum!
I went on a bit of a cooking strike after Christmas, well for a couple of meals anyway!
cream cheese and lox will forever hold a special place in my heart.
I'm a vegetarian but that soup looks great and the bagels with the salmon as well - yum. I feel the same way about cooking, ugh. The last few days we've been going through all the leftovers, which I'm a bit tired of by now. Got a quick pot of chili on for tonight but I'm wishing it was cauliflower soup now instead!
Hmmm...occurs to me what a good neighbor you might be to have.....
those mini bagels look SO good! great post :)

So true! My husband and I have decided that as of tomorrow we're scaling back on the food.
Wow! That all looks so delicious... mmmmm...
I wish you and your family a very happy newyear!

in response to your comment...this past thursday through saturday it was super mild out. it is back to cold now, haha. getting back to a regular Canadian winter.
Mini bagels look good to me - I LOVE salmon!!! And cauliflower cheddar soup? Sounds kind of exotic to me, have never tried it!
If I had food that looked this good all I would do is eat too. Happy New Year friend and may you have much art and many happy feasts in the new year.
OH--A job well done! Let's eat!
Sounds like you and your family have been eating very well lately! Keep it up, I want more meals to try and copy!
I am such a pig - I find these pictures mouthwatering, despite stuffing my face on end during the past weeks here, too.
it all looks delicious!
Looks great!
We're still eating here:)
A happy New Year!!
I love the title of your post! My scale tells me this is what my holiday was, too! Funny how that work... perhaps xmas/hannukah/solstice= toys when we kids, and then food replaces that as we become adults?
These look sooo good and very familiar to me ;)
But I've switched diets and now I can't have so many of these delicious comfort foods ;(
My mom makes a great vegetarian golabek though!
Mmm! I am making cheese covered cauliflower tonight... but soup sounds awesome!
Happy New year! Even though we did the same thing you did, your meals look much healthier than ours.
I like the new header on your blog.
(slowly getting back to reading my favorite blogs.)
