Indian Food

As I mentioned in yesterdays post we love Indian food and lucky for me Dr. J loves to make it!
Here are three of his regulars:

(my fav and it tastes so good with lamb too)

(we often substitute the cheese for tofu- it gives the dish extra protein and it stays for a few days in the fridge)

We also make an unphotogenic lentil dish- with some sauteed onion and already soaked lentils- add some home made or store bought garam masala and this can be served as a side dish for up to a week.

This looks so delicious. We're really snowed in and Indian food makes me feel so warm and comfy. Enjoy.

I love Indian food too... anything with paneer. I can totally see the tofu substitution though, for the longest time I thought paneer was some form of Indian tofu!

mmm, looks so delish except for the gobi....i detest gobi and pick it out of everything. my mom used to make muttar-aloo-paneer [peas, potato, cheese] b/c i loved aloo and my brother loved paneer and we could both stand peas!

my dad's standby is any curry, though b/c e loves butter chicken, that's what he makes most for us. i love all his dals too, but my fave is "maa dal" or the black daal. oh and his saag is awesome too!

my mom makes a lot of vegetarian dishes and she's in charge of naan and rotis, including mukhi roti which is made from corn flower. we eat that with saag.
