For The Love Of Graffiti

I love graffiti art. I grew up in a big city and have been mesmerized by it since I was very young. I never could understand when others viewed it as a nuisance or vandalism. My father owned a factory downtown and whenever it was ‘tagged’ he would get a worker or two to paint over it- I remember one time the left over light pink paint from my room was used. I didn’t mind the pink but I could never understand why a block of white or pink on the side of a building would be considered more desirable then the colorful messages they sought to conceal.
Here are some photos I took last week.

I completely agree. Did you hear about the Banksy graffiti that was inadvertently painted over in Melbourne? Unfortunate, but inevitable, I thought.

I understand some people who cover the graffities on their houses or fences, however sometimes I would left some graffities on the walls because they look more interesting with them;) for example old gray factories or walls..
have a nice day:)

I love graffiti when it looks good, like the pictures that you showed. Recently, one of the art centers I go to got tagged. Only, it was some drunk teenagers who thought they were cool. They covered it up with paint and I hope in the future they decide to do some kind of mural (it just looks totally weird now with these odd painted blocks). But, I wish that people understood that graffiti like everything else has a purpose, and by trying to be "bad" (getting MJ flashbacks, haha) just ruins it.

Love the graffities that look like art work. Some talanted people out there:)

Great examples. The green one is lovely. I think I prefer that to the more traditional graffiti style where spray cans are use,- although I do appreciate the talent this involves :)
